Had to respond to the comment that the DME is dragging their feet on the humidifier.

When I was scheduled to go for my 'fitting' for my gear at Apria, it turned out it was a huge class of people. Not a single one of us knew it was a class. We all thought we would be able to try on different masks.

They looked at our faces, and gave us one mask, usually the same size for all of us. Or we had a choice of nasal pillows which we were discouraged to use.

When I mentioned that I was supposed to get a humidifier, and had pre-arranged it with Apria (I also had to write a letter to my insurance company ahead of time requesting that they 'allow' me to have one), they said, "wait till the end of class".

At the end of class, they said, 'oh, we don't have one for you' and I said then why did you say you DID when I called ahead to pre-arrange all this and you said you reserved it? Their answer was 'oh, i guess someone else just won't get theirs'.

What a crappy attitude. You have to be firm (but nice) with these people.
