I am a 35 year old male and have actually suffered this wretched ailment for more than 15 years (according to my now ex-wife anyway). Several issues concern me though I decided to expound on only one. I could laugh at myself because I am worried about how it will look and not concerned how I feel. I do feel terrible. I haven't slept good in years. The constant fatigue, the waking in the morning wishing that I hadn't bothered going to sleep. I must be getting some sleep as I am still alive but barely. I don't know enough about this thing. See, I would remain single forever if I knew that CPAP worked if you only used it say 3 times a week. I could probably just use it when I had the night off and didn't have to share my house with my girlfriend. But it sounds like this is an every night thing and personally I am not ready. I have had enough difficulty in the last 2 years being exhausted at work or late for that matter and outside of going to sleep at 5pm to get up at 4 am I am out of ideas. I cannot even take my other meds because I would never wake up in the morning. I have not seen the results of the study yet as I just had it done on Sunday night. The tech did mention that I don't sleep too good. It is an alarming sight that mask thing. Are any of them less obtrusive? invisible? without all of that head gear? how 'bout a fan with say 1 million rpm's? I don't know. I think that now that I KNOW what it is and what the method is to deal with it I will need a Psych eval before 36. It's really depressing!
