Used a CPAP for about 3 years without humidifer with no problems and wondered why peopled used humidifiers--finally found out. I developed sinus problems--trouble breathing etc, got humidifier and got better. I tried traveling without my humidifier--I will NEVER do that again--if I do not use my humidifer I develop a horrendous sinus headache. Tell your DME that the customer is always right and that you want and deserve that humidifier!
