I'm assuming that you've verified that you can run the thing on 12 volt DC. Most cars are 12 volt DC, but - especially if you have an odd-ball car - make sure.

Fasten the CPAP into the unoccupied back seat with the seat belt. If there's a built-in reservoir, fill it no more than half way. If there's a separate humidifier, you probably won't be able to use it. Make sure that the wire reaches the back seat, and that the hose reaches the front seat. Bring a towel or blanket to put over your head in order to block the daylight. It's always a good idea to keep a spare mask on hand. The stress of packing and unpacking the unit creates a higher than usual risk of breakage. Put in a fresh filter before you leave.

VERY IMPORTANT, do not use CPAP while driving!!
