I was prescribed a heated humidifier from the beginning so it was all i had used until a week ago i forgot to turn on the heat, so I assume it worked like a passover. it had water in it. I have not used the heat for the last week and i feel the same as I did when it was heated. I know most people on here seem to swear by the heated. As for me, I'm not sure the heated makes any difference.
