The ramp function does not work as such when using it in Auto mode on the RemStar Auto. What it will do is reset the pressure to your minimum (in your case 8cmH20), if for some reason you have woken up at a higher pressure and the machine fails to recognize that your breathing has corrected. This has happened to me (both with the RemStar Auto & Autoadjust LT I tried also). In essence it works the same as the reset on the Autoadjust LT. Hope that helps. I have yet to receive my software (hope it comes soon). I use the Breeze and when the homecare provider read my card (before purchasing) it showed a leak of 25 LPM. I was concerned about this but then looked in my Breeze manual and lo and behold the vent leakage at around my min. pressure was 25 LPM! I was impressed to say the least and subsequently bought it. As you have said it unbelievably quiet.
