If it turns out you have sleep apnea you'll more than likely have to have a second sleep study to titrate you on CPAP so they can determine the correct pressure and what kind of mask will work for you. I know I had to have a second study for these purposes. I was told a second study was necessary because by the time they have enough data on the first study to determine you have sleep apnea and how severe it is there is usually not enought time left before morning to properly titrate your pressure. The sleep tech who did my study said they need a good 5-6 hours of sleep to titrate you properly. I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep too, and on the second study I couldn't get to sleep with the CPAP on so they gave me an Ambien. After that I had no problem sleeping!
