Found the car adapter I needed

In the course of just being out and about running errands, I checked on 3 different radio shacks along the way.
The first wanted $17.99 for a universal car lighter/12 volt adapter. The second had a salesman more confused than anything else. He made a mountain out a tiny weeny moehill. The third, viola, had a lady who took my pappy gently in hand (I was like a mama with a newborn thinking, "Don't drop my baby) and she found just what I needed. She plugged the $5.99 adapter into pappy's 12-volt port and the lighter adapter into her counter unit and pappy worked fine. I said to her, "That's the pressure I sleep with all night. 18 million people have yet to be diagnosed."
I always like an opportunity to educate.
Well, I am all set for my trip.
