Initially I thought the Nasal Aire was noisy. I even cut off a bit of the inside and that helped a little. However, I just got a new Nasal Aire and it seems quieter. My first one was defective -something I didn't discover until a few weeks ago- and perhaps that was causing the excess noise. Carefully check the connections at both ends of the tubing (remove the nasal piece first)and make sure they are wide open. I and several other people found that due to some manufacturing defect, the plastic at those connections had melted and pretty much closed off the openings. Nasal Aire is the only headgear I can wear with comfort- I think I tried them all. Innomed has good customer service. If the noise persists and your tubing is wide open, ask them to send you another nasal piece to try and see if that makes a difference. It's also possible that the size you have is wrong; too large and it will be pinched within your nose and cause a lot of noise; too small and air will escape.
