I am so thankful to you and the other folks who have joined this. I have been on the cpap for 2 mon ths now, no more headaches in AM, no more waking up from snorting in my sleep, and my wife thnaks you too.

In Los Angeles, my first doctor know little to nothing. I told him about my needs, and used your forums to guide me through all this. Note to all new suffers, take control. print out the pages you need, and fight for your health.

Thanks for the words about the Nassal-Aire. What a sanity saver. So easy to use... I just slip it over my head, adjust the strap in back, pull the lariat (small velcrow slip knot for under chin, up snug, and wake up in AM feeling better than in years.

Thanks for the info on the sleep clinic, titration, masks, symptoms, and pictures of typical home set-ups. This saved me months of experimenting on my own.

Thanks for helping me realize that my first doctor was worthless, and I fired him, and used my Primary physican to order the Nasal-Aire, so I could get this done faster.

Note to other new sufferers:

Typical time line according to my first doctor:

3 weeks to make 1st appointment
3 weeks to get into sleep study
3 weeks to see doctor for analysis
3 weeks for follow up titration study at clinic
3 weeks more to see doctor to order cpap
2 weeks for cpap to be delivered.

Over 4 months to finish process, if you don't get aggressive about it. When you make your 1st appointment, have the office pre-schedule into all the above meetings, ASAP, so you can get your machine, and regain your health sooner.

Other tips:
1. Make sure you get humidifier
2. Make sure you get owners manual, and doctors manual, if possible
3. Order extra filters and replacements right away.
4. Study pictures on site for set up tips
5. Tell everyone you know to check out the site, and help other snorers to give up their vanity, and regain their sanity, by getting checked out.

Again, thank you all so much.
