Recovery gave me back my LIFE!!!

Sandman,
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS on the 100th forum! Wow!
I must have had sleep apnea since at least 1995 that I can recall! All that time I thought it was depression.
In 2000, I just couldn't keep my head up, anymore. A sleep study in Dec. 2000 revealed that I stopped breathng 74 times an hour. I was placed on a CPAP at pressure of 11 cm H20.
I have lost 30 pounds since then and the sleep doc will have another study done at a total 50 pound loss.
It is amazing. The folks, here, told me I wasn't lazy just in need of good sleep and I would acquire the energy to go to the gym.
From needing constant naps to 25 mins. on the treadmill, 15 mins. on the stairmaster, 10 mins. on the bike; 6 cybex machines for legs at 20 reps., 10 cybex machines for back, arms and chest at 15 to 20 reps. and 7 exercises/machines for hips and abs. AMAZING! About 2-1/2 hours in the gym, easily. I am off all antidepressants.
I couldn't even stay awake 5 mins. in the car to drive pre-CPAP.
They say this is the third hottest summer on record in my area. Could fool me! Now that I am not sweating to death, even in winter, from sleep deprivation - this summer does not feel as hot as a number of past ones.
I have a lot of energy at work, also. Too much so - they tend to think of me as a little hyper. OMG!
LOL!
Thank you, Sandman, Sand Familyand every one of you, here.
Hugs,
Addy
