Story

Posted by Me on August 24, 2002 at 05:47:55:

I am one who has been posting since way back when. I was diagnosed around 1996. I knew no one who had sleep apnea. I felt like a zombie. Then I found this forum. It was wonder to find others out there. I have learned more from this forum than I learned anywhere else. I learned what questions to ask my doctors so I would know what was going on. I work in a place with less than 50 people--since I have been diagnosed 2 more coworkers have been diagnosed. The word is getting out. It has been a real struggle--at one point I lost over 30 pounds and was retest. I was told I could go off of CPAP. I did. I regained weight. I am now back on CPAP. I know that I will be the rest of my life. I am comfortable with that because CPAP has given me a life worth living.
