Posted by gb on August 29, 2002 at 22:02:48:Thanks for your submission on the web. I am a 45 year old woman who is on day 7 (8/28/02) and thought this was going to be a piece of cake. I never had bleeding, but had to use Tylenol with codiene which I would normally never take. Looking in my mouth all I see is white mucous looking stuff. My palate has been reduced to almost nothing. Huge opening now, but I still can not breathe through my nose when I sleep. I wake up with a dry, sour mouth and have to work with ice chips for a few hours. I have lost weight, but have a terrible urge to cook because I can not eat yet.
I am curious to see if it works in the long run. My daughter said my snoring is different now. It
is not the deep snorting pig it use to be. I hope the next week improves and then I will truly be able to access the progress. The reduction in snoring will be an asset, if nothing else. I did not realize it was a MAJOR SURGERY.
Thanks again for sharing, what a great thought.
