My wife uses Flonase for her allergies. It is a synthetic steroid, and will tend to dry the nose. It will also help with soreness. I use a product called Rhinocort, also a steroid type product for my allergies. It stops a runny nose, but I've never had any problem with my nose getting too dry. We live in an average humidity area, and do not use any kind of humidifier.

Sore eyes usually indicates mask leakage into the eyes. I used to have that problem until I started putting a handkerchief between the mask and my eyes. It solved this problem completely. A mask that doesn't leak when you first go to bed may leak after going to sleep and moving around.

Treatment of sleep apnea is very important, so keep working on it. I hope you solve your problems soon.
