The mask can make a LOT of difference. When I swithched to the ultra mirage my drowing sessions stopped. The previous mask somehow stored up a large quantity of water and when I turned over it dumped it into my nose.

Rainout is a function of the weather and the temperature in your bedroom as well as the hose insulation and mask. When it gets cool out is when the rainout is out in all its glory. Actually when it is cool out it is necessary to turn up the temp of the humidifier, but this leads to more rainout What to do?? Insulate, insulate, insulate.
