Snoring sounds ( in the throat)

Posted by TJ on August 31, 2002 at 08:11:32:

I have been on Cpap for 5 weeks. I started on a pressure of 8. First two weeks "out cold" sleep pattern. My partner noticed a minor sound in the back of the throat, told the doctor and he suggested pressure change of 1 or 2 increases. Tried at pressure 9 for 1 week and immediately felt all my old symptoms return (before CPAP). Returned my pressure to 8 went back to feeling better, noise has returned, but feeling better. Noticed the mouth breathing issues on the forum. My mouth is open slightly , but no air is escaping. Tried taping one night, sounds still there. Yes I have a heated humidifier, was rated severe OSA (80 events/hr). Any suggestions, higher pressure makes me feel off.
