Home Testing or Re-testing

Posted by sawTexas on September 29, 2002 at 11:59:06:

Could someone tell me just what is involved with follow-up testing for OSA at home and what type of machine is used. Is it as reliable as sleep lab testing? This was brought up to me by my PPO and when mentioned to DME they did not know of any home testing other than oximetry. This is who APRIA/CIGNA uses in the area I live. Are they just not inofrmed or is home testing new.
