No, it's not a lot, now. But untreated sleep apnea usually get's worse.
There are many individuals who have experienced quite severe symptoms with mild/medium sleep apnea. I have read many posts relating symptoms more severe than my own. I have severe sleep apnea with an AHI of 51.
Insist on CPAP therapy, work on making it successful, and you will realize a change in your life.
By the way, it is very common for improvements to be very subtle and slow in coming. A week is not enough time to feel a change. A three month trial period is very common and more reasonable.
