You might try some of the other methods listed in older posts before jumping to a full face mask, particularly if you are not a mouth breather but your mouth drops open when you sleep, as your jaw relaxes.

I had that problem even with a full face mask; it probably just didn't fit my face well. I tried positioning my tongue to keep my mouth closed, which sort of worked -- then the problem just went away. I do adjust my pillow differently now to provide more support for my jaw.

The problem of not feeling like I'm getting enough air and the difficulty of exhaling also went away. I agree that one week won't be long enough for a CPAP trial --- unless you are one of the lucky ones who gets instant results!
