If you consider how many breaths you take while asleep (Say 15 per minute X 60 minutes per hour X 8 hours = 7200), then 5 to 12 exhale isn't anything to be worried about.
I really like autoPAPs, but they do have limits. For instance, they can't tell you what your blood oxygen is like while you sleep and they can't tell you what your 'sleep architecture' is like. (How much time is Stage 1, 2, 3, 4 or REM)
Most importantly, how have you been feeling? If you feel like a million bucks, don't worry about a dozen exhale puffs.
If you feel lousy, please share more of your statistics with us. I don't think the exhale puffs are the culprit. Maybe we can come up with a helpful suggestion or two.
