Thanks RenoTom, I gather that you've been energetically researching OSA for some time.
I have been experimenting with things on my own for a couple months but not in a measured consistent manner.
Things such as going to bed earlier for a few nights, being more active between 7 - 9pm, and a few other issues like getting a good quality mattress and experimenting with different pillows.
Although the OSA is, I believe, being successfully treated there is at least one other issue that will take some time to resolve. Being the default body type for someone who has had this condition for upwards of a decade, I enjoy some lower back pain in the morning. Still working on that one, of course the solution is simple - loose weight - but everything is related. It’s tough to be really active when you’re not at the top of your game.
Anyway thanks for the insightful post (www.sleepnet.com/apnea90/messages/743.html). I will start a more methodical approach, take some notes, and reevaluate.
The good news is that I have the energy / interest to even consider this type of thing. Six months ago I couldn’t walk past my bed, it was a real struggle to make it through the day. Life is finally tolerable with more good days than bad… Maybe I am getting greedy, but that may just be years of lost ambition resurfacing.
