hello Rae
i have had 2 sleep studies so far- the doctors that i have seen so far are an ENT and a pulminologist. the ENT has performed this procedure and the pulminologist agrees that 'Uvulopalatoplasty' is the correct procedure. i appreciate you telling me that my tongue may be part of the problem. i feel sure that it is really a problem with the soft pallet because i notice problems with it while i am awake - soemtimes when i try to blow my nose- the soft pallet will block the airway basically blocking the attemp at blowing my nose- also i notcie it in the way at times. i agree with your recommendations. i think i do have 2 really good doctorsand i have had 2 sleep studies and another 1 to go through for titration for the cpap. i have been told that the surgery has a 50% success rate-
thanks for the info - i will pick up the book!
