A couple important things to remember:
Most studies show that UPPP alone or in concert with GA & HS have about a 100% relapse rate after 5 years.

A significant percentage of people with OSA not cured by UPPP may end up having a lot of trouble trying to use CPAP after surgery. Our patients who have had UPPP and come back for CPAP, on average, need 3.5 cm more pressure than they did before surgery.
