D.H., Don't worry about them switching you to a bi-level device, especially if you are comfortable with the equipment you have. Your doctor may give you the option to try a bi-level device, but if you are satisfied with CPAP, and using the equipment you have, tell him so! The doctor's main concern should be that you are receiving therapy and feeling better!

New patients with higher-pressure requirements may adapt to Bi-level therapy easier then straight CPAP therapy. Hence, doctors may prescribe bi-level therapy to ensure the patient is compliant and is receiving therapy.
