I was called today because the Autopap was delivered and they wanted me to come in again and test to see how I did exhaling with it. It seems my Dr. wanted me to have an Autopap, services thinks I need a Bipap. I had an awful time exhaling with the Cpap. So, the Autopap took me up to a 10 on it's own then stayed there and I had the same problem with exhaling as I did with the Cpap. So, I guess the services were right and I need a Bipap. He said they set it at about 5 for the exhale and 10 for the inhale. He said there was no reason to take the Autopap home that I would just struggle with it all night. The Bipap should be delivered there Tues or Wed and I have to go be tested with it. Is this normal to be tested with this machines this way? The services said also that the combined machine and humidifier was too much trouble to clean and he preferred separate humidifiers. Which is best?
