How long did you try exhaling with the CPAP? I had trouble for awhile. The first night my chest hurt. After that I was OK.

At our house we've found that the separate humidifiers are a pain in the neck. However, it depends on which combination you get as to how difficult it is to clean. Baffles and corners are hard. The RemStar can be separated easily from its humidifier. I found the F&P OK but the container itself does not come apart (you can get one that does for extra) and it was hard to clean. Personally, I want a humidifier with as few curves and corners as possible and I want the set to take up as little room as possible.
