Actually, you don't have a choice if you get a bilevel machine. There are none available with a built-in humidifier, alas. It is a big problem if you travel internationally, as few humidifiers work on another current and you would need a really big voltage converter to do the job (I burned out a humidifier last year this way). Mostly, it is just more cumbersome to travel with two devices, but it is not a problem at home and may in fact be easier to clean.
