There are many things that could be causing your problem and I agree, seeing a sleep specialist would be a very good idea. If this is going to take awhile, if your machine is not an auto CPAP would it be possible for you to have a trial on one to see if the pressure is different than what has been prescribed for you? I have found that I am on much less pressure for most of the night on the auto CPAP and the pressure also depends on the mask I use. If you are taking off your mask there is obviously a reason. Some trial and error may turn up the reason and your supplier should be able to help you while you're waiting for your specialist.
