The tubing should not come apart. I use a medium and need to cram the left nostrial a bit but fits the right so thats how it is with none having a perfect body.

I also have a deviated septum and have no problem that way, but each one is different. Keep trying, I would ask for a new Nasal-Aire as it should not come apart. You can always ask the company they have a web site. They are very helpful.
