Like you I have just started cpap but unlike you I live in Australia and had no trouble getting my diagnosis and treatment in a short time ( 2m). I too had a smooth adaption to the cpap. I also was a mouth breather and am no longer and also an extreamly restless sleeper tossing and turning and getting wrapped up in the bed clothes.I no longer do this . I have been using my cpap machine for the past 2.5weeks and only last night I took the mask off during sleep and can not remember doing it
this has been my only problem so far except the occasional tender area from pressure from the mask which is a nasal one.I felt great the day after the first night with my machine but have since not felt so vigorous. I have also a heart problem which is characterised by rapid pulse and palpitations . I went to my cardiologist yesterday and he said that it may take 3m to feel the full affects of the cpap machine , he is therefore delaying any operative proceedures till after then (phew ! )
