I'm not sure what you mean by "bottom of the line." I have one and like it quite a bit. It is small, quiet, and accurate. It has an autoramp feature (which I don't use) and an altitute adjust feature (which I also don't use). I have traveled all around the world with it, and it has no trouble adapting to European or Asian voltage and cycles.

It does not have a built in humidifier, which some folks seem to like, but I prefer having the advantage of the compact size.

I also bought an AutoAdjust LT, which is quite similar to the 9000 (but an auto-CPAP, of course).

I think they both seem to be good, solid machines.

In my opinion, the challenge with CPAP is usually not the machine, but rather finding a mask or nasal pillow delivery system that works well for you.
