Hi Angeleyes:
Please have your partner read some of the posts in this web site. There are other web sites with support for partners of sleep apnea. See http;//peaceful-river.com/osa/wife.htm. Try a search for peaceful-river.com. My wife put up with my undiagnosed, untreated sleep disorders for at least 15 years. Her support during those years was well beyond what might have been expected. How could I not be there for her now or in the future if she were ever to need such support from me?
Your partner must realize that your getting the appropriate diagnosis will lead to an effective treatment. It would be foolish for your partner to walk after nine years
when you are most likely six weeks to six months away from effective treatment. Also, check with the hospital or clinic every day to see if there is a cancellation that would allow you to get in at an earlier date.
Pleasant Dreams
