I had a similar experience with my REMstar Pro. It turned out to be a combination of a poorly adusted mask (too loose), a large leak (from moving in my sleep), and the auto shut-off "feature". I readjusted my mask and had my DME supplier diable the auto shut-off. Seems to have solved the problem.

If you're leaving your mask on while the machine is off, I'd recommend getting an uninteruptible power supply with a good loud alarm in case of power failures. The machine will keep supplying air for a while, and hopefully the alarm will be loud enough to wake you, if the one on your CPAP is too soft (like mine).
