I haven't experienced this but I wonder if any of these things might help isloate the issue.

Do you hear any noises inside the CPAP unit if you pick it up and tip it, rotate it etc?

Is there any change in the whistle if you:

1. Start the machine with ramp feature (lower start pressure) if available for this model?

2. Start the machine without the mask/interface attached to the hose(s)?

3. Start the machine without the hose(s)?

4. Start the machine with the air filter temporarily removed?

5. Start the machine while it is oriented on its side?

6. My wife adds, have you checked your husband, has he been whistling at you and grinning? :-D
