Flu and nasal congestion

Posted by TwinMom on November 08, 2002 at 23:25:27:

Hello,
I have had my cpap for about 2 weeks. This past Sunday I came down with what I thought was a cold. I could only use my cpap part of Sunday night due to congestion. I have been so stuffed up that I can't use my cpap at all. I saw my family dr. yesterday. He said its not a cold, but the flu. He's treating me for a sinus infection, ear infection and bronchtis. I also have Lupus, thus we have to be agressive in treatment of a virus.

What do others of you do when you have a cold/flu and can't breath through your nose?

I was just starting to see a small bit of difference with one week of cpap use. Not a whole lot, but enough to see there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Any suggestions you have let me know.

Thanks,
Twinny
