My solution was an Ace bandage around the mask and my mouth along with the CPAP. I tried my dental appliance with it, but it wasn't that comfortable, and I drooled thru the bandage because of the appliance being in my mouth. I tried for FIVE long years (!!) and I finally found something that worked :-) The reason a regular chin strap that they gave me didn't work, was that the way it was made, it didn't cover my mouth...just pulled on the chin, and the air would still escape thru my lips, waking me up. This just absolutely works beautifully...I tried the over-the-counter mouth gard once, and had difficulty using it - I gave up on that one pretty quickly. I'm glad you've found something that works for you, as well..
