If you dig through the past forums long enough you will run across a post from a woman whose husband fell asleep at the wheel and ran into another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle was killed, and the womens husband, after a diagnosis of sleep apnea, was charged with murder (may have been manslaughter, but I think the big M).
I don't recall if there was ever a resolution mentioned in later forums, but the last I heard was the family was struggling with young children and the bread winner in prison.

Sleep apnea is a condition that can have serious effects while in some cases having little apparent effect on the patient (especially from the patients viewpoint). For others of us it can be very debilitating.
The good news is that for most of us it can be easily treated and depending on the individual recovery can be accomplished without a great delay. It must be worked at however.
Although I had little trouble driving or feeling tired, I felt like a zombie. I was way past "feeling" anything. With proper therapy I now feel fantastic.
