" The regulations do provide for a means of resolving conflicts. If you think you are not being treated fairly or correctly, ask for a "CRO" or "Complaint Resolution Official". The airlines are required by law to have a CRO available at all times that operations are conducted either in person or by telephone. The CRO is to be fully trained in the law and has the authority to resolve the problem given the available time.
* You are allowed to carry on your "equipment" and any "related accessories". For me it required two bags. (BIPAP S/T's are larger than most CPAP's).
My flight was on Southwest Airlines and I recieved good service throughout, although better in Reno than in Ontario. Much more caring attitude, but that's typical of Reno! It was expected that I would preboard to take care of my baggage (and get the best seat).
Hope this helps others.
