Turkey contains tryptophan which is also present in other poultry such as chicken as well as all milk products. That's why you hear of people drinking a glass of warm milk before bedtime. Of course, since we tend to eat much more than normal at Thanksgiving and we're eating turkey as well as many other dishes that may have milk or milk products in them such as cakes and pies, that will most definitely bring on somnalence.
