You would probably get more responses over on the 'Non-CPAP' Forum. Generally speaking, surgery is discussed there.

For my 2 cents worth, I would recommend you see a few ENT's/Surgeons before undergoing surgery. I saw 4 with my Mom, and got a widely different bunch of suggestions. It was worth getting those opinions.

UPPP before fixing the septum? You might find other ENT's that would either reverse that order or do them both at the same time. Fixing a septum can really make a big difference in helping you tolerate CPAP.
