Hi Coote. Thanks for your compliments. Yes, it would be nice if CPAP machines had more built in capability as you mentioned. I have had good results with the VCR-audio recording in my home. I have been able to determind that some of my apneas are central and not obstructive because there are no sounds associated with them.

About the esophageal measurement, yes, it is quite uncomfortable. I'm glad to share my 7 1/2 years experience of CPAP use with the group and also learn from others as well.
