The majority of people eventually adjust however, there are quite a few of us who never do. I tried cpap for over two years and slept worse than without it; couldn't exhale against the pressure. The doc said it just takes time. I tried biPap but my breathing rhythms didn't match the machines so we were always out of sync. AutoPap was just as bad. Total nights on flow generators was about 28 months worth. Surgery has helped more than xpap.
