The nose bleeds you describe most likely are a result of dry nasal passages. Fact being, with CPAP, you're forcing much more air into your nose than your nose is used to.

As Sleepy Coote mentioned, you could try a saline spray. About 5 years ago, I went to an ENT because I had a chronic dry hacking cough that never seemed to go away. He looked up my nose and said, "Man, are you dry!" He suggested that I use Beroleum in each nostril once a day. I have been using that ever since and no longer have a chronic cough or dry nasal passages. Not only that but I get colds much less frequently than I used to. To go into a little more detail, Beroleum is a water based ointment that comes in a small tube and is sold over the perscription counter. You don't need a perscription for it though. It's very concentrated so a tiny tube lasts for 6 months.
