Does your CPAP have a replaceable air filter? If so your old air filter may be clogged and restricting airflow. Otherwise it might be something like an air impeller, fan blade, or bad bearing. If the malfunction is impeding airflow, your CPAP may not currently generate the proper level of pressure. If a filter change doesn't fix it, I'd call the unit's DME (your medical equipment provider) right away to make arrangements for repair. I think they would even set you up with a loaner or a rental unit. Of course, if the unit's really old, you just may want to buy a new one with zero or low mileage.
Good luck!
