RE: Bipap... silly me..

I posted about my Sullivan Bipap a few posts down and today called the DME regarding setting the inhale/exhale so there is a pause between them. I have found that it can be set on some Bipaps. I was told that I am only renting the machine from them through Medicare. ($600. mo.) and the machine is a 1997 model and can't be set except for (I guess) the pressures. That they don't have any newer models. Soo, I guess I will go in for the surgery (deviated septum) and if that doesn't help look into buying a newer model that can have the hesitation between the exhale and inhalation. I have heard that Resperonics is coming out with a more economical Bipap that is equivelent to the higher priced Bipaps and does a great job.
