My insurance will only by one mask every 6 months also---but they will provide a new patient with up to two masks during the very first 6 month period. Why not ask if your insurance company will do the same?
Your DME and/or sleep lab may be able to help you with mask selection as well. Some will let you try on and evaluate masks briefly during your visit, others will let you try them out over night. Some seem reluctant to let you try either, which baffles me considering how important a comfortable mask is toward compliancy.
Puritan-Benett does offer a Dreamseal attachment for your Breeze headgear to replace your nasal pillows with a more conventional mask. I have heard a few people talk of the Dreamseal mask here, but it doesn't seem to be as wildly popular as certain other masks, or even nasal pillows.
