SlimSleepy, the only answer I have is to hang in there. For me, it seemed that as I started getting more quality sleep with the CPAP, I went through many sleep/wake patterns. I've been on CPAP for 14 months and have just now reached the point where I'm settling into a regular routine of waking each morning just before the alarm and feeling sleepy and able to go to sleep at approximately the same time every night, which is 8 or 8.5 hours before my wake-up alarm is set.
Until now, despite going to bed at the same time every night and being tired, sometimes I would fall asleep quickly, sometimes not. Sometimes I would sleep pretty well all night; many times I would not and would experience being wide-awake for a couple of hours.
I did need a pressure increase as my initial pressure was set too low. I do think that for some of us, the drastic change resulting from CPAP use is difficult for our bodies, as if our brains and bodies had been oxygen-starved and sleep-deprived for so long, we have to relearn "normal" patterns and circadian rhythms.
Just my decidedly subjective opinion.
