So, as I've posted on before, I believe my sleep-disordered breathing is attributed to allergies and their resulting irritation of my airway. I'm on allergy meds, but really have no way of knowing if my SDS is being alleviated. When I use the GoodKnight 418P APAP, all of my apnea/hypopnea events dissipate, and I'm left with around 20 "flow runs" per evening at only 4-5cm of pressure.
How can I tell if more events are happening when I *don't* use the unit? I know that if my pressure needs were much higher I could simply turn the unit down to the minimum, but unfortunately, close to the minimum is all that's needed to resolve events. Anyone with any other ideas?
And with the GoodKnight...are these "flow runs" indicative of SDB? Is this a form of UARS? I accidentally set the "Initial" pressure on the machine at 12.5 the other night and wound up with about 109 of them! Not too smart. At least I know that's WAY too much pressure. Thanks.
