Purchase versus rent

Posted by sleepyjack on January 15, 2003 at 08:58:17:

I have been renting a Remstar Auto for the past six months. Insurance has paid all of the cost but $8 per month. I got a call yesterday asking if I would like to purchase the equipment since I have met the deductible for the year. What are the disadvantages of purchasing the equipment?
I have used a Bi-Pap and a straight CPap and this works better for me than the others, but this is not perfect.
Thanks
