CPAP after Septoplasty?

Posted by cjm36 on January 16, 2003 at 18:34:11:

Hello everyone. Has anyone out there gone through a spetoplasty and been able to use their CPAP that same evening or for the first few nights? I'm scheduled for a spetoplasty soon and am wondering. Would it be any easier to tolerate the CPAP after surgery if I had a FF mask instead of just a nasal mask?

Of course, I am hoping to be able to get off CPAP if the surgery is sucessful, but am wondering about the first evenings.

Chris
